The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society of Australia (CPBSA) is pleased to announce the establishment of a new PERFORMANCE REGISTER that has been designed to record and recognise the performance of Connemara purebreds and partbreds nationally and internationally. 

The CPBSA encourages you to enter your purebred or partbred pony or horse that has been foal registered with the Society. There are NO entry fees.

Points may be gained in three sections:

  • PERFORMANCE: All individual events including all under saddle classes

  • IN HAND: All individual led-in or halter classes

  • PREMIUM SIRES/DAMS: All eligible results by first generation progeny

Awards will be presented annually to the highest scoring purebred or partbred in each state.  Separate awards will be given for the Performance section and the In Hand section.

Regulation 75:    

Objective:    To develop and promote the performance of pure and part bred Connemara ponies under saddle as a versatile and competitive breed in varying disciplines for both adult and junior riders.

 

75(1)        A Performance Register to record the performance details of all pure bred Connemaras and part bred Connemaras will be established by the Society.

 

    (a)       All ponies/horses that are entered in the Performance Register must be foal recorded in the CPBSA Stud Book or Part Bred Register.

 

    (b)       Committee will have the right to vary Regulation 75(1)(a) where a non financial owner and/or an unregistered pony/horse is performing with credit to the breed and parentage can be verified by DNA verification.

 

    (c)        The Appendices to this Regulation will include:

(i)            Disciplines for which performance will be recorded

(ii)           Pointscore Sheet
